Today is Bill's birthday. The first born of B.T. and Carlene Hanna.
Look how well he represents his family.
Leading by an example of kindheartedness,
he is first in line, then Glory, then David,
then me and Tom.
Bill really is a very nice person.
I hope he has a very nice birthday.

The boy in this picture is Billy Carl Hanna. He was my first child (poor baby). I was so eager for him to learn to walk and learn to talk that I never really enjoyed him like I should have. I look at the man, Bill Hanna, who is my eldest and I wonder where this marvel of manhood came from. He is such a responsible person, father and all of that, has a nature that is so generous. so loving. His birthdate was the day following Thanksgiving that year. I can remember it almost like it was yesterday. I am so proud of him and he is loved so much, especially by me. Happy Birthday Bill.
Billy Carl was always the strong silent type, believe it or not. Because of that, I think he was picked on a lot, especially by me but let's not go there. He loved to read and he loved to listen to music. When we were little he would let me play ball in the vacant lot with him and his friends. He would also dare me to do things I shouldn't but let's not go there. I have nothing but good memories of of my big brother, Bill. I love him very much. Glory

He's almost as tall as George Reeves in Superman (if only in his own mind...)! :) I love old photos. Never met Bill, but I'm sure he's a hoot like the resta'ya.
