Prince William

Since I have been organizing Carlene’s old black and white photos I can’t help but notice how many shots there are of Billy Carl. He is the first born and naturally B.T. and Carlene couldn’t get enough of their heir to the thrown. Look at him for heaven sacks, he’s adorable, and today is his 60th birthday.

Bill,
I was going to write down 10 things everyone should know about you like I did Glory, but then I realized you might feel like your privacy was being invaded. So I opted for a discrete photo essay...your welcome.
Happy Birthday with LOVE from,
Catherine

When Bill was born he was early and sickly. That lasted for about 5 months. He cried a lot a lot; so did I. Then he got himself in hand and turned into a pure spiffy. Don't you just love those pics of him of the front porch. He was the first, and in some ways the hardest. I had no idea what to do. His dad and I and of course baby Bill stayed at my Mom's house so she could help me take care of him for about 6 or 7 weeks. Then Momma made us go home and poor little baby Bill was left with nothing but his Mama to care for him. Since that time, he has forgiven me for most of the dumb things I did. I love him so much. Have a wonderful birthday. Hugs and kisses from MOM

Yes, Billy Carl (as mother always calls him) was the first. He was my big brother. Mom said he used to sit with me in the bathroom when I was on my potty seat. He would sing songs. Per Mom, I said, "twaddly sing-song, Beedy Caw?" Bill is the kindest spirit of all. I love my big brother. Happy Birthday, Beedy Caw!!! Your favorite sister, Glory :)

Hey Cool Cat,
The pictures are SO awesome -- and more than that, YOU are awesome for going to the trouble of scanning them in and captioning them as well! Not every sister -- wait a minute, hardly ANY sisters would do that! You are to be honored as well.

Bill -- my goodness, what a brave and strong man, and so kind to his little sissy, to whom you meant so much! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY AND TO OUR DEAR CATHERINE. Just for the record Bill, 60 is the new 30, with the extra years of wisdom....Happy Birthday!!

Love, Laurel
